O2L consists of two research groups working closely together:

  • Work, Organization, and Personnel Psychology

  • The mission of the Work, Organizational & Personnel Psychology research group is to contribute to the design and care of work and organizations on a "people scale." The goal is to strengthen the synergy between employees, their work, teams, managers and the organization, ensuring well-being and motivated and productive work. We do this by conducting research in close cooperation with all stakeholders and by contributing to decision-making and innovation based on scientific knowledge.

  • Professional Training and Development & Lifelong learning

  • The mission of the research group Professional Training and Development & Lifelong Learning is to contribute to the permanent development of people in the context of work, in order to further quality work -for people and organizations- in a changing society.  Learning and development are understood here in the broad sense of the word.  It concerns the entire life cycle and both professional and personal development are important.  Learning is understood as a diverse continuum, ranging from formal learning in training and traning to informal learning in the workplace, and is approached at the individual, team and organizational level.

The objectives of the research groups are: (1) To promote scientific knowledge in the field; (2) To promote cooperation between business organizations and academics; (3) To provide a forum for the exchange of information between researchers in this field.
