ADPROCLUS
Introduction
Description
The ADPROCLUS software program is a graphical user interface for fitting additive profile clustering models (Depril, Van Mechelen & Mirkin, 2008) to object by variable data matrices. Given such an object by variable data set, the ADPROCLUS program estimates a user-specified range of additive profile clustering models with increasing complexities (i.e., number of clusters) by making use of a multi-start alternating least squares algorithm. In order to help the user in determining the number of clusters that are present in the data, a scree plot and fit information for all complexities considered, are displayed in the output files that are created by the ADPROCLUS program. The ADPROCLUS program is available in MATLAB and as a standalone (".exe") application. More information about how to handle the ADPROCLUS software can be found in Wilderjans, Ceulemans, Van Mechelen & Depril (2010).
Authors
The ADPROCLUS program was created by Tom Wilderjans, Eva Ceulemans, Iven Van Mechelen and Dirk Depril. The first, third and fourth author are members of the Research Group of Quantitative Psychology and Individual Differences of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. The second author belongs to the Centre for Methodology of Educational Research of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
