The Simpsons: Analyzing Structural Relations in Social Network Data

Jorge Gonzalez

KU Leuven

Abstract: In a group of people, different kinds of relations may exist, such as liking, wanting to collaborate with, to spend time with, etc. Both, senders and receivers may contribute to the existence of a relationship. It is an interesting question to what extent one relationship is correlated with or induces another relationship, and whether similar links between relationships show up at the senders' side and receivers' side.
