A warm welcome to the website of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences!
Our faculty may be a young faculty in the Catholic University of Leuven with its centuries-old tradition, but has become a fixed value in the educational and research landscape of this university, located in the heart of Leuven.
With the commitment and dedication of our staff, which consists of over 370 scientists, 75 supporting staff members and approximately 180 volunteers, our faculty offers to over 4000 students a challenging and dynamic study environment where research and education enter into dialogue. In our programmes of study we strive to offer diverse, attractive and research-based education of high academic quality, with attention for social relevance and focus on the practical component.
At our faculty a lot of basic research is being carried out, but the focus on parenting, education, training, welfare, labor, health, and the many other domains that involve psychologists and educational scientists, implies that the applications are usually within reach. The active involvement of our professors and scientific personnel with respect to important recent social and cultural developments is demonstrated in the scientific publications, but also in the commitment to Metaforum K.U.Leuven and the way our researchers attract the attention from the Belgian popular media.
We also look beyond the boundaries of our own alma mater and encourage both staff and students to further develop in an international environment.
